Random posts~~

Next time you are at Tanjong Pagar.. dun forget to go to the Amoy market for lunch or dinner.. due to time constraints.. i've only been there twice..and both occasions are lunch-ing cos i was there after my sales visit.. and mind you..the queues are very scary.. esp if it's e famous wonton mee!!

Generous servings.. this has 4 fried wontons..plus 4 soup wontons.. e auntie was not stingy with her char siews.. and looking at the noodle.. it's definitely not for the faint-hearted.. it just cost $3.. and i was very happy after the meal..

i can't rem the stall name.. i only knew it's on the 2nd lvl, right opp this fish stall.. should be quite easy to spot as the queue never cease.. tink i waited for at least 15mins for it? and it's not even official lunch hours~~

On sat.. char and i went to orchard to shop.. after her dentist appointment.. i realised Orchard is kind of boring.. it all just looked the same after walking there for umpteen years. in the end.. we couldn't take it and sat down for a drink. i guess it was more fun people-watching.. sipping your coffee and having a nice dessert.

@ Canale Patisserie Chocolaterie.. but we went to the branch at Lido Shaw House as Paragon's was fully packed..

Heeren is like a ghost town now.. few crowds.. and it's really quiet.. however, i like gng to the HMW to listen to the songs..a great idea to pass time.. provided if you like music..

Paul Blart : Mall Cop

Ratings: 4* out of 5..

Sometimes.. some of the neglected advertised shows are actually very interesting and worth watching.. one of it is the mall cop show.. i was quite skeptical when sandar suggested to watch as i've never heard of it.. but i never regretted giving it a try..

The story: " Kevin James stars as the title character, a single, suburban dad, trying to make ends meet as a security officer at a New Jersey mall. Though no one else takes his job seriously, Paul considers himself on the front lines of safety. When a heist shuts down the megaplex, Jersey's most formidable mall cop will have to become a real cop to save the day."

Initially, as the comedy story unfolds, the plot was on the normal side... introducing the characters one by one.. however, the laugh came when the mall cop Paul starts the rescue plan alone against the bank robbers..his 'big' body and clumsy movements just adds to the laugh.. the rest i will leave it to you to watch and judge for yourself..

Taiwan Trip 13th-21st Dec 08 - Day 1 (Temp: 16°C to 18°C)

I have been taking my own sweet time to do up this blog on TW.. cos we took like 900+ pics and each pic's size is v.BIG! cos i din not adjust the settings in my camera beforehand~~anyway, i found tis free software - Visualizer Photo Resize to help me solve the prob.. so i will try to jot down as many details as i can rem.. of cos i wun be posting all the pics.. LOL..

We reached there at about 5+pm.. as they've early sunset.. their sky of 5+pm is like our 8+pm..

Can you believe it? We saw an uncle wearing our St Marg's jacket!

This dog is the star of the cafe~~

He's very obedient.. he did not bark etc. he just stood there without any emotions.. think he's used to pple touching him.. haha

We stayed at Rainbow Hotel.. at the heart of Ximending..

I'm just amused at the packaging of the toothpaste.. ha

Food Food Food~~

Their common soup- some thick gravy broth with cuttlefish~

臭 toufu.. i wanted to try but im just not brave enuff.. ha

'车轮饼 ' it means Wheel pancake.. it's just like our round pancake sold at Mr Bean.. just that their fillings are v.generous.. fillings are overflowing!

'可麗餅- Savoury Crepes.. i noe they have this in S'pore too.. but theirs are so much cheaper.. and they're definitely not stingy with their ingredients~

Da and my fav.. it's '眾合口味' where all you add all the ingredients.. we've chic, ham, corn, cabbage, cheese etc'

Bubble tea is a must try over there.. it just taste so much better.. cn you believe it.. there's also hot bubble tea to cater to the cold weather over there..we tried it and surprisingly.. it taste not bad too.. esp in cold weathers~~爽!

My Fave of the fav... their 面線!! they had it in small and large size..even tho it's cooked over long hrs..but the vermicelli is still v.chewy..in delicious sauce & with generous servings of the intestines.. (i dun normally eat internal organs but theirs has no foul smell) thumbs up! and it taste esp good in cold weather~~
